C2LF is . . .

  • a place for teens to twenty-somethings
    and for those who care about them and serve them in the community or in ministry
  • a place where we come together to talk and wrestle through what it means to live free in the way Jesus meant it in John 8:36 and in other scriptures
  • a place where we can be honest about our questions and struggles with our faith and with the living out of that faith

writers guidelines

C2LF is seeking committed staff and guest writers. All writing is done on a volunteer basis.

Writers are:

• teens to twenty-somethings
• or those who work in the community or in ministry with this age group
• or those who write professionally for teens and twenty-somethings

Submissions must be relevant to the C2LF vision (stated above).

Types of submissions include:

• postings on topic discussions
• stories
• articles or devotions
• poetry or lyrics
• reviews of movies, books, music and music artists

Guidelines
• grow familiar with C2LF by reading current and past postings
• participation in the dialog before submitting is helpful
• all writing should be scripturally-based and non-preachy
• writing should be relevant to C2LF’s goals and relate well to the C2LF audience
• 400 words or less (occasional permission may be granted for lengthier submissions for stories or devotions)
• poetry, less than 30 lines

If your submission is accepted, please include a one-or two- line bio. A small jpeg photo may also be used. You’ll also be asked if you would be willing to give permission for other sites to RSS feed your posting with your byline and bio.

ways to help C2LF and the Live Free books

• tell your friends, youth pastor, mentors, and discipleship teachers about the site and the books
• give one of the books to someone you know who may need to hear the stories and messages inside
• read one of the books with a friend
• leave your review on Amazon
• most importantly, pray for C2LF and for the site visitors, site writers, and Jan’s ministry as a writer and speaker to teens, young adults, youth workers, and parents
